I've put together the latest spud report for Pennsylvania horizontal wells.
The report representing the second half of 2020, Chesapeake, Cabot, and EQT led in percentage of wells spud. Notable other operators increasing in share from the first half of the year are Seneca and Penn Energy.
Interestingly, in the southwest region, Greene Co. had the largest YOY change in wells spud, while Washington Co. dropped significantly.
Henry Hub natural gas prices increased in the half, but local basis pricing eroded nearly all of the uplift in the fourth quarter.
Following the decline noted in the second quarter, the number of rigs maintained a weekly average of 18-19 rigs throughout each month.
