Rigs continue to increase as oil price crosses $50. The Baker Hughes’ rig report shows another week of positive gains, with horizontal rigs gaining seven.
The largest changes per county occurred in the Permian Basin. Lea Co., NM added two rigs for a total of 35 active horizontal rigs, while Midland Co., TX dropped two rigs for a total of 18.
