This week’s report shows the lowest number of horizontal oil rigs and total horizontal rigs since Baker Hughes has released detailed rig data in 2011.
The reduction in oil rigs continued this week, as horizontal oil rigs lost 31. Horizontal gas rigs remained steady with 72 active rigs.
The county with the biggest change this week was Lea Co., NM dropping 8 horizontal rigs to a total of 24 active rigs.
