Horizontal rigs targeting oil dropped below 500 rigs for the first time since the 2/17/2017 rig report, dropping 48 rigs on the Baker Hughes rig report from the week ending April 9th. Gas horizontal rigs showed little change dropping two for 87 active rigs.
The county with the biggest change this week was Martin Co., TX dropping 6 horizontal rigs for a total of 30 active rigs.
